About the
Community Action Plan
Who We Are
A technical community that is a resource to NYCPA members
regarding quality control and peer review issues as they pertain to
sole-practitioners, firms and peer reviewers.
What
We Do
·
Identify
and comment on emerging quality control and peer review issues and
standards.
·
Provide
a forum for discussion of technical information related to quality control and
peer review and disseminate such information through vehicles such as the CPA
Resources section of the NYSSCPA website and The Trusted Professional.
·
Present
technical sessions on quality control and peer review through FAE, chapter
programs and for the on-demand CPE library.
·
Respond
to technical hotline questions from Society members.
·
Provide
input on matters concerning peer review related areas to the Society’s Board of
Directors.
·
Develop
and maintain a liaison between the Society, New York State Education
Department’s Peer Review Oversight Committee, and the
AICPA.
·
Aid in the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public
Accountants’ administration of the AICPA peer review program through
participation on the PICPA Peer Review Committee and Report Acceptance
Bodies.
