About the Trust and Estate Administration Committee

Community Action Plan

Who we are:

The Trust and Estate Administration Communty is to be a resource to NYCPA members regarding estate and gift taxes, fiduciary income taxes and fiduciary accounting. The Community addresses compliance issues and planning strategies.

What we do:

The Community provides the following technical, educational and networking activities:

  • Addresses technical questions from NYCPA members
  • Provides a liaison between the NYCPA and other professional groups
  • Monitors Federal and State legislation and regulatory guidance relating to transfer and income tax matters
  • Conducts educational conferences/technical sessions
  • Provides the opportunity to comment upon exposure drafts for new standards, pronouncements and reimbursement issues as well as implementation and interpretative guidance
  • Affords networking opportunities at Community meetings and conferences
  • Disseminates information through articles in the "CPA Journal," "The Trusted Professional," the "TaxStringer" and other media.

Who should join:

All categories of NYSSCPA members who have expertise in or who desire to increase their knowledge in the trusts and estates field.
