About the Financial Restructuring & Performance Improvement Committee

Committee Action Plan

Who We Are

The Financial Restructuring and Performance Improvement (the Committee) provides resources, training, knowledge sharing and thought leadership on the current financial and operating issues faced by small and medium sized companies to strengthen our advisory skills and our relationships with clients as a business advisor, and ultimately expand our service offerings.  We identify and share techniques and methodologies, including data analytics that improve the financial outcomes of healthy and unhealthy companies seeking innovation to improve their financial performance and increase operational efficiencies. Our committee focuses on issues and services relating to profit improvement, corporate restructuring, and bankruptcy.

What We Do

The Committee:

·     Sponsors educational programs and holds technical presentations to assist members with performance improvement services that address current client issues.

·    Disseminates information to CPAs, other professionals, industry groups, and the general public to provide awareness on advisory services, business challenges, and nature of our practice.

·    Develops and disseminates concept documents and approaches on methods for analyzing and solving current business challenges.

·   Monitors industry trends regarding business issues and performance improvement services and shares them among professionals.

·    Arranges for presentations by Committee members and other advisors to attorneys and other professionals.

·     Prepares CPE and articles on performance improvement for publication in The CPA Journal, The Trusted Professional, and other publications.

·     Establishes the following sub-committees:

  o   Membership

  o   Program/Thought Leadership

o   Process Methodologies for Advisory Services

o   Industry Groups & Professional Group Outreach
